CASILLAS MOST TRAVELLED FOOTBALL PLAYER

Real Madrid legend IkerCasillasis the most travelled football player on earth, based on a research carried out by Kiwi.

The report considered players that have put in regular hours journeying the planet to play the round leather game.

Casillas’ feat comes as no surprise, considering that he played football for an elite club for several years aside his long term in goal for a top European side Spain. His illustrious career required him to travel 565,380 miles.

Former Barcelona and Spain star Xavi comes close with total career mileage of 554,363. The retired placed ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The Portuguese star has travelled 545,294 miles while his Argentine counterpart has gone 27198 miles lesser.

Serie A legend Francesco Totticompletes the top five most travelled players with 472,006 miles. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Fernando Torres, Carlos Tevez, KarimBenzema rank ahead of Wayne Rooney but the latter is England’s most travelled player with 243,959 miles.

European competition take players to faraway places but these top ten players are the most travelled in the current set of soccer stars. In the all-time record, another Real Madrid Raul Gonzalez leads with 679,425 miles. PavelNedved, and Roberto Carlos make up the top three.

Casillas’ record places him fourth in the all-time list. Argentine legend Diego Maradona, ZinedineZidane, Pele and David Beckham rank him in the all-time list.

Tevez’s move to China helped him surge to the highest salary per mile in the top ten and all-time records. Rooney’s 13.12 goals per 10k mile helps him stand out in the midst of top football players.
